a friend of mine told me once there were a ton of songs to be extracted from this track. And he’s probably right. But that’s the thing about inspiration and sensibilities for me. I’d say most of us have a great tune just waiting to come out. And it comes down to timing. Would I have sit down to write ‘arrow’ a day later or a day before the result would have been different or none at all. That to me is what makes art so special. It belongs in a moment of time and no other. After that it’s gone. You either grasp it or you don’t. Finally, you put all the pieces together. Or maybe I’m being too linear… haha whichever the case may be, it’s a conversation worth having.

About this song, it’s basically an unplanned rhapsody. The final moments of the track still manage to make the hair stand up on the back of my neck. Those are the reactions I like the best when listening to music. Nothing else like it.

I think I wrote the majority of the lyrics after reading a bunch of stories of Kull of Atlantis. Indeed, where would we be without Robert E. Howard?
