1.
No! Don’t pray at those new altars Half carved into the rock That old rivers cut free As do we We will not falter We will not change Only you are now missing Nothing here is strange Nothing! But your own mind Yours should be a heavy casket
2.
I fell at last Through the gaps in the stars you command My hunger Your hatred Bestowed upon me I’ll unleash your justice on this land A servant of fire Whose eyes flicker in the dead of night Amongst a sea of darkness only I can see My soul is dyed with the color of your thoughts You’d do well to fear me I belong below Your horns, my beacons, my prey My soul is dyed with the color of your thoughts The vessels enclosing your soul Will burn like twigs on a fire Shameless, violent, unknown I’ll hunt you as fast as gunfire Air thick as a jungle of weird thoughts Set ablaze This is the way the world ends Under Satan’s dire gaze I stand calm at the end of the world Listening to long lost cries Screams, doomed to dwell alone as in dreams For beyond there’s just silence And should I return to your temple With spoils from a thousand wars I’ll return a champion Crown me with horns

Stoic Winds 09:11
Meddling on the playground of reason Can’t you see the demons closing in? Your morals commit such acts of treason They sing your praises with a triumphant grin Meddling on the playground of reason Have you ever tried it yourself? Once great castles turn into prisons So must your mind be true to itself The shroud falls The sun dwarfs I feast on the throne of our splendor And fear my heart will freeze Should this dread come to pass STOIC WINDS! Bathe me with your warm summer breeze Oh, that death and sickness were banished from our earthly home! that hatred, tyranny, and fear could no longer make their lair in the human heart! that each man might find a brother in his fellow, and a nest of repose amid the wide plains of his inheritance! that the source of tears were dry, and that lips might no longer form expressions of sorrow. Sleeping thus under the beneficent eye of heaven, can evil visit thee, O Earth, or grief cradle to their graves thy luckless children? Whisper it not, let the daemons hear and rejoice! The choice is with us; let us will it, and our habitation becomes a paradise. I met the eyes of virtue’s spawn And welcomed the birth of a new dawn Oh dear loved ones Come daughters and sons Can’t you understand Can’t you realize There’s a lot we don’t know

Dust Trails 03:53
She stood and called for me Screaming, restless And all the while I looked the other way What’s it all for? Just another grain of sand That we’d carry around Like a grave with nowhere to stand The devil was there too Guess he wanted me to stay Some days don’t mess around At night I miss the day And then I ran away The mountains flatten for me Rivers run dry Behind me dust trails Reach up to the sky But hidin’ in the breeze There lied the sweetest cry It’s only dying down In the sweet by and by I suppose I can’t just say goodbye Nor shall I
5.
“Stay away from the shark,” they said Told me that he has grown and bites Told me not not to stray again Said, “Don’t put up a fight.” Ha! There! Beyond the prairies, the frost, the dust bowl Lies a ship, or so I’ve been told On this ship flames rise Dancing high, sings the song of our demise But there was neither smoke nor fire there burned Come shark, doom too long have I earned No bison to guide me No wolves to track me All alone with the raven My ship is her haven They blazed beauty till the end… And a shark had his say Told me I was his next prey Told me that straying from the path Could only bring out his wrath I learned a lot from the great white shark I learned that sometimes he don’t chew I learned that sometimes he does “But not this time and not with you” So, remember, it’s through defiance That great dangers come to transpire In the end, you’ll realize Great whites too spit fire We’re dust With the wind No trail we’ll leave unburned Set sail!
6.
Grey eyed! I found the keys to your cell Underneath the mountains Just above the deep Come! Ride with me Through sepulchral wonders And natural depressions Outright immoral… Upon his wing There travels an army of demons What flourished and ignited the spark Has withered and lays in the dark His grip tightens His pack starves by the roaring clouds And we alone must face it A thousand bolts fired from the skies Descend upon us And yet we stand Unconquered by fear We wipe the blood off and survive Long we’ve rode Battle-worn Blow the jade Mighty horn We shall not fall in the end Swords! Once you were many Just down to twenty And now we’re left with only one Don’t make a sound Yeah, let me tell where you’re bound His doubt lingers Your arrow glimmers Now take the stars from his eyes Fire Fire Fire FIRE!
7.
From the foot of god’s throne Tell me This once I tripped on loose stones Each darker than the one before I’ve never been to heaven Who knows just what’s in store From here I still don’t know what it is for Would you be so kind as to tell me what I’ll find? My walk is heavy, the progress is slow But my hand is steady and for once I know Strange was the night, I recalled Now I learned it’ll never end… Finally reaching the walls of heaven My knock will force its structure to the ground Going down I turn the hunger inside out Blown out of proportion Take a look at its colors Bring yourself to its level Can’t you smell the redness? This scent that left you aghast Blurs with a power unsurpassed Spreads right through your hands Makes them twinkle in the sky Will this light blind giants? Can your fingers command truths? Can your limbs heal us? No! No! No! A certain greyness, neutral entrails A certain death under a new bright sun The killer leaning upon his gun Reaching far-reaching ends Ever reaching sands Never ending misery! His justice is higher than men It was sculpted on the shores of reason Dance! Dance! Now he’ll never die!
8.
When god signs I’ll behold the spine of the universe The pillars are falling The chariots are damned At odds with darkness There’s no horror like doubt Like a dog without a leash Or a treasure you can reach But you’ll never get And yet I deny his sovereignty In a sense This horror sets me free Horror Maximus A dangerous thing, soul searching It’s why duties are kept unclear Just move with a confidence unheard of And there’ll be nothing to fear No And so I deny his sovereignty Should all else fail Just thinking sets you free Splash the black with even the faintest blue There’s blue on the sky during a storm All these colors, I couldn’t control I once carried the eyes of a fool Drank the rain till I was full Didn’t notice there were rivers too Bled and cried, it was all my fault Slowed myself down to a halt That didn’t have to fall to my lot Let the pillars fall! The chariots burn! Now I color the landscape I drink and partake In a celebration of freedom long due Experimentation promising to Release me from these urges Stand straight Don’t be held straight And watch for steps on which he once spat The road to paradise, imagine that So when god signs You should sign right back Pointing to the end of the track To his body, bleeding black That’s the black that once colored the universe It’s been a long way It’s certainly been a while To get here To make it There were holes along the path Hyenas on the side of the road Big bad appetites swallow virtues whole No hinges on the door No handles either Even when you get there Help, reverence – you’ll have neither Just have to squeeze through Suck it in just enough It ain’t the walls closing in on you It’s the tightening of your handcuffs So it went this beautiful trip And not a crossroad since You can run at the crack of the whip Or proudly walk without a wince Who know how far you’ll go… Who knows how far you’ll go without your shackles

I
Days go by. Suns rise and fall. Much like we do. Can’t shine for long. Brings too much attention.
Been two days since I died. Not a pleasant smell. It wasn’t in life either, now it’s just worse. That’s fine. Keep beauty at bay... Don’t come now; stay away!
Funerals are for the living. Went to one once. My father cried. Grandfather too. I never did. Calm before the storm.

II
I liked the cat. I liked the funny noises. I liked his softness. Made me miss my own. Now I just miss the cat. He would have loved the birds.
Look at how they love me...!

III
They eat and shit, little else. Leave holes, little carvings. All meaningless. The cycle of life.
Got scared soon after. They fled away. I was left with my killer. She gleamed silver gray.
Had her gun held high and stared. My flesh was out to dry. It made the desert care.

IV
Woke up to a porch fire. They were all there, all sitting on a chair, all strange and transformed. They flared red. Soon they burned.
My father, my grandfather, the cat, the birds, the killer, even the desert.
I was delivered the dust. Force-fed the dirt. Brought to my knees.
I HAVE IN ME ALL THE DANGERS OF THE WORLD
